Aidan S.
Biography
Aidan was born at Yale New Haven, he had a perfect birth, we knew
about his illness and team was ready for him. At 4 days old he had his first
operation and did well. At 3 1/2 months he had his 2nd and 3rd operations, then
at 8 months his 4th open heart operation, and then what we thought was his last
one in Sept. 2009. The last operation did not go well and Aidan suffered a
stroke, he was blind and like a 4 month old. After 2 weeks his sight came back
and soon after he started walking and talking again! We moved to Alabama for my
father's job once Aidan was well.
Easter of 2010 Aidan started to have lung issue's and this continued until July
when we found out he had Plastic Bronchitis. This almost killed Aidan twice
while we were at the Children's Hospital in Birmingham. They med jet Aidan to
Boston.
Sept. 11th 2010 Aidan arrived in Boston, after 5 weeks they thought it would be
best for Aidan to have a heart transplant. We have been in the hospital in
Boston now for over 6 months waiting for a heart... Thank you for taking the
time to think of Aidan.

Once there click on the link "database" on the right to view the children and their patterns. Once you find a pattern that you want to stitch and have confirmed it is not already being stitched you may return to the sign up form, fill it in and submit it. Wow wow wow! What huge smiles you put on our faces!!! We just got it about 20 minutes ago and Aidan was ready for his nap, he had a rough morning and cuddled up and fell asleep in his new quilt in just a few moments... My mom (Diane) and I are so in love with the quilt it is perfect! Our hearts are so touched by all the love that has gone into this beautiful quilt, I know Aidan will treasure it forever! Just maybe this will be the week his new little heart will come... Please know that on behalf of Aidan my mom and I thank you from the bottom of our very healthy hearts for sending him this amazing quilt... with much love to each and everyone of you, Samantha, Aidan and Diane
