Biography

Jordan came here with a purpose! We had 4 children at the time and
we were through, but God saw it differently. Just after having our 4th child I
found out 2 short months later that we were expecting again. Eight months
later...Jordan arrived! He was a blessing right from the start...and yes...he is
the final completion to our family of 7. He was a rather normal healthy child up
until the year of 2006. It was May when he started showing signs of something
going wrong. In June he was hospitalized & 1 week later results from a kidney
biopsy declared that he had a very rare kidney disease called: Nephrotic
Syndrome MPGN II-this is a disease for which there is no known cure or way of
stopping it. In November of 2006 Jordan began dialysis treatments. His kidneys
had completely failed him. I was trained on how to do dialysis at home and
Jordan has been doing this for 4 years now. In June of 2007, Jordan was hit
again with something totally different. He had developed Car
dio Myopathy (Congestive Heart Failure). Now he was fighting for his life with
his heart. The doctors were preparing us for further arrangements because
Jordan's heart was failing him & he was not able to have a heart transplant due
to his kidneys. Miraculously, several weeks later he walked right out of the
hospital doing just fine. That's the power of prayer touching God's heart! Since
then, Jordan has developed Bone Disease - Osteodystrophy, which has caused his
bones to become extremely week and Jordan now uses a mobile scooter to get
around in. He can walk, but not very good. Also, Jordan has, Tumoral Calcinosis,
Chronic Anemia & more. This child takes over 30 pills a day, has had over 10
surgeries, been in & out of the hospital for the past 4 1/2 years, still is on
daily dialysis treatments & sees a cardiologists to keep a watch on his
heart...yet he still has such a great attitude & outlook on life! He is such an
inspiration to me & my family. This child has character
that everyone could learn from. He is one of God's precious little ones. I
thank God everyday that we have with him. Keep praying for Jordan as he fights
his daily struggles that ONE DAY THAT MIRACLE WILL COME!!! We are in the process
for the possibility of a kidney transplant...so pray hard, please.
God Bless & much love to all,
Shannon Asher
