Biography
Maurquez (we call him "Q") was born October 5, 2004. He is the 10th child of children ages
6yrs-28yars - 3 girls and 7 boys. He is the 7th boy. There were no complications during pregnancy or childbirth. Q met all of his developmental milestones.
Q started complaining of fatigue, weakness, a decrease in appetite and was sleeping a lot in November of 2010. Q went to the ER on January 8, 2011 for lymph swelling. He took antibiotics for 10 days, then followed up with the doctor on January 19, 2011. On January 19 at the appointment I requested that blood work be done. The results were alarming and Q required PICU hospitalization for 12 days beginning January 20 . DX - cancer-leukemia-ALL.
In Feb. he had to be hospitalized...pneumonia, seizures, high blood pressure, memory loss & vision.. GOD IS SOOO GOOD!!! He got his vision & memory back on March 16,2011. May starts interim maintenance. He will be hospitalized May 5-7, for high dose Methotrexate. Q has had weekly chemo, ARAC injections, blood transfusion, MRI, CT x-ray, blood products, spinal taps and bone marrow aspirations.
"Q" has been very brave and courageous. His a happy child. He is blessed.
The cancer is treatable and curable. It should take 3 years and 3 months - our journey begins...........

Once you find a pattern that you want to stitch and have confirmed it is not already being stitched you may return to the sign up form, fill it in and submit it.
